CiC at the Urdd Eisteddfod The Aelwyd Cic(St John the Baptist School) went to the Urdd Eisteddfod in Carmarthen. They copmeted in the oral presentation for learners - the item was - Y Bocs. There were 15 groups competing, unfortuantely they did not go through to the last three on the stage. They stayed at a youth hostel 10 minutes from the Eisteddfod field and had a great time playing games, on the beach and a full day at the Eisteddfod. 05/07/2007 Half term fun There was a range of activities during the February half term for Rhydywaun pupils on the Sbardun project. They went for three days to stay at the Urdd Hostel in Cardiff Bay and went on a high speed boat, ten pin bowling and to techniquest. They also met a group of Japanese visitors. 09/03/2007

Parti Ponty Youth Gig 20/06/2007 The Award Three pupils on the Sbardun project had an opportunity to visit North Wales recently. They visited the Snowdonia National Park, went climbing and mountain biking. They met new friends from Ysgol y Strade and Ysgol y Berwyn. 09/03/2007

Rhydywaun Youth Club  

Dechreuwyd y clwb ieuenctid ar 16eg o Dachwedd yn Ysgol Gyfun Rhydywaun. Mae’n cael ei rhedeg gan Nicola Evans a Helen Cotter yn wythnosol, amser cinio dydd Iau yn y ganolfan Ieuenctid. Mae nifer o’r pobl ifanc sydd ar gynllunSbardun yn troi lan i’r clwb ond mae’r clwb ar agor i holl ddisgyblion Ysgol Gyfun Rhydywaun. Mae’r clwb wedi bod yn rhedeg am dair wythnos nawr ac mae tua 30 o bobl ifanc yn troi lan yn wythnosol. Yno gall y bobl ifanc chwarae pwl, darts neu eistedd mewn ystafell dwym a chymdeithasu gyda ffrindiau.
